Within the framework of the SafeJourney project, Progettomondo is pleased to announce the setting up of the music concert ‘Notes on the Road’ organised in collaboration with IOM Morocco, the Commune of Khouribga and the Maison des Jeunes de Khouribga.
The event will take place on 12 June 2022, in the city of Khouribga at the Marjane Place from 19h00.
Once again, SafeJourney, a project co-funded by the European Union, chooses art as a means of communication and awareness-raising about the risks of irregular migration.
Notes on the Road’ brings together a group of artists who, sensitive to the problems faced by young people who decide to leave their country and aware of the risks of irregular migration, have mobilised to reach young people through music.
This time, it will be the notes of rock, indie, folk, Amazigh and Cameroonian music, interpreted by the young artists Jubantouja, Diese Mbangue and Ighouliden, who will want to move people to create and spread awareness of the difficulties encountered in the migration process.
The event will be an opportunity to create a space for artistic change that will allow for the dissemination of the project’s messages and actions, as well as a moment of synergy with the International Organization for Migration in Morocco (IOM), which, with the awareness campaign ‘Koune Ala Bal’, sensitizes young people on the risks of fraud in recruiting work abroad (kounealabal.ma). The campaign is part of the EU-funded THAMM programme (For a Global Approach to Migration Governance and Labour Mobility in North Africa).
Last Thursday, 24 March, the third performance of the play ”Clandestin” was staged at the Espace Culturel et Artistique Riad Sultan in Tangier.

The campaign will provide potential migrants with real and concrete information on legal migration opportunities, through the construction of one’s critical thinking and the realization of a migration path in full awareness, in this context that ASeS and other Italian entities have started the Before You Go project, a project of accompaniment for Moroccan citizens (men and women) who want to apply for an entry visa to Italy for reasons of work, training or to join a family member who already lives in Italy.
